Project description:
The new pedestrian and bike underpass with a length of 170 m goes under 25 railway tracks and was created using temporary bridges made of in-situ cast concrete. The barrier-free expansion of the suburban railway to the "Berg am Laim" stop was executed at the same time.
The underpass, which has a standard width of six metres and a height of three metres, has been widened to 10 m at the suburban railway platform. Skylights and architectural curves have been added in this area so as to provide more light.
Special features:
The north entrance was prefabricated with wings and was put in place during a track possession with the use of two temporary bridges. The entire structure was created using class 3 exposed concrete and using 25 operational temporary rail bridges.
