Bad Cannstatt gets a modern station

Project description:
Modernisation. New construction of four lift systems. The lifts are designed as loaders with low cabin dimensions of 2.10 x 1.10 m. The existing stairs are being rebuilt but left at the existing width. Redesign of coatings (floor/wall/ceiling) and replacement of lighting.

Special features:
Continuing train and passenger service and the restrictions and safety measures for numerous major events (carnival, soccer games, etc.) posed a particular logistical challenge. The unknown building fabric and the consequently large number of changes needed in the short term meant an additional challenge to the existing tight schedule.

 

 

 

More room for 1st Handball League spectators

Project description:
Reconstruction of the Hohenstaufenhalle, which was built in 1965. Expansion of the stand to the east and west. This increased seating capacity to a total of 5,500. Installation of new VIP boxes in the northern section. New main entrance foyer to the east and an open-air stage at the front. A second sports hall for club and school sport was also built as an extension. A total of 60,000 cubic metres of enclosed space with a gross floor area of 10,000 square metres.

Special features:
Tight deadlines, building within existing structures, exposed concrete requirements, driven pile lengths outside, micro piles inside and extensive demolition work.

 

 

 

Listed building with a new look

Customer: Stadt Frankfurt Hochbauamt, Frankfurt am Main
Construction time: March 2009 - June 2010

Complete steel strain relief and gutting of the listed building. Installation of new floors and stairways/lift shafts in existing building. Lowering the vaulted cellars and adding to reinforced concrete vaulted ceilings.

 

 

 

New area for geriatric medicine

Customer: Main-Kinzig-Kliniken GmbH, Gelnhausen
Construction time: March 2009 - December 2009

Addition of a floor to an existing hospital building by means of a steel structure/reinforced concrete construction. Alteration and removal of existing surfacing, alteration of the existing staircase and lift core for an additional floor. All work took place while the hospital was in full operation.
