Project description:
The entire outside facade and two interior stairways of the Bertrandt AG office building were renovated. The scaffolding was installed and the plasterwork repaired, the joints on windows were replaced and the entire surface was ablated and repainted.

Special features:
6,500 square metres of scaffolding, 3,500 square metres of external painted surface area, 700 square metres of inside painted surface area, production of acrylic connecting joints over 1,200 metres.

 

 

 

Customer: WMF Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik AG in Geislingen
Construction time: August 2006 - October 2006

Project description:
Renovation of the external facade of the WMF AG office building in Geislingen. The 6-storey, 80 m long and 22 m high office building, which was built in 1957 in a reinforced concrete frame construction with pre-fixed quality reinforced concrete strips. The window sills were approximately 25 - 35 mm thick and clad in natural slate
Owing to the weather and environmental influences, the concrete and natural slate surfaces were so badly damaged that renovation was necessary.
The concrete surfaces were blasted with a high-pressure water to remove the existing coating and cavities. The entire concrete area, including exposed reinforcement, was then renovated. The natural slate plates were replaced by STO-VEROTEC plates, which simulated the natural slate.

Special features:
High pressure water jets operator at approximately 2,000 bar. The office building was mostly occupied during the renovation work and the construction time was relatively short.
