The Arnold Galerie is a highly frequented city centre district created from the renovation of old buildings and the construction of modern buildings in the heart of Schorndorf, which combines retail, commerce, culture and housing.

It comprises smaller and larger commercial units for well-known brands (dm-Drogerie Markt, Aldi, TAKKO, Deichmann, C & A Esprit, etc.) and various sectors (fashion, food, bakers, butchers, flowers, kitchen shops, ice cream parlours, gyms, etc.). In addition to regional companies, the Federal Labour Agency has also taken up the generous office space offer.

 

 

 

Park + Ride into Stuttgart city centre

Building: The plot is located between the suburban railway tracks, Weissacher Strasse, Kannengiesser Strasse and Ingersheimer Strasse in the industrial area of Stuttgart-Weilimdorf. The multi-storey car park is designed as an integrated steel construction. It provides about 600 parking spaces on 4 parking levels. The individual parking levels are connected by 2-lane, straight ramps.

Connections: The north east, north west and south east corners each have a staircase for entering and leaving the complex. Vehicle entry and exit is controlled by a barrier system with a total of 3 barriers and is covered by a canopy roof. The upper parking deck is directly connected to the adjacent platform by a pedestrian bridge.

Front: In the design of the facade powder coated grilles alternate with large-format, flat Resoplan plates and mainly open areas, with steel cables stretching from the green wall.

Outdoor area: The sometimes steeply sloping banks of the outdoor area are held in place by natural stone walls. The spaces all have green lawns. A variety of trees and shrubs around the multi-storey car park supplement the green facade.
