1984 Vocational training
The German federal president, Karl Carstens, gave
special recognition to the LEONHARD WEISS construction
company in June 1984 for exemplary performance in the
vocational training of young people. |

1990 Wirtschaftsmedaille (Business
Medal)
In April 1990, the minister for Economics, Small
and Medium Enterprises and Technology, Hermann Schaufler,
awarded the Business Medal to LEONHARD WEISS for outstanding
services to the economy.
LEONHARD WEISS, said Schaufler, was an impressive example
that construction and environmental protection need not
be mutually exclusive, but are important partners in overcoming
problems. LEONHARD WEISS, he continued, has no shortage
of trained replacements, due to its exemplary training
programme. As such, it enjoys a special position among
construction companies, which are generally worried about
not having adequate personnel in the future.  |

1992 Managementpreis (Management
Prize)
The managing partners Ulrich Weiss and Werner Schmidt-Weiss
were awarded the Managementpreis Unternehmer Energie (Manager
Energy Management Prize) in 1992. This prize is awarded
to dynamic managers who have achieved extraordinary business
success through their clear goals and above-average commitment. |

1993 Guetezeichen Kanalbau (Canal
Construction Quality Label)
On 28 January 1993, the Guetegemeinschaft Herstellung
und Instandhaltung von Entwaesserungskanaelen und -leitungen
e. V. (Quality Association for Building and Maintenance
of Drainage Canals and Lines) awarded LEONHARD WEISS the
quality label for building and maintenance of drainage
canals and lines. This label is recognised by the RAL
Deutsches Institut für Guetesicherung und Kennzeichnung
e. V. (RAL German Institute for Quality Assurance and
Labeling) and trademark protected through registration
with the German Patent Office. |

1994 Fachbetrieb (Professional Company)
On 1 June 1994, the Technische Ueberwachungs-Verein
Suedwestdeutschland e. V. (Technical Monitoring Association
of Southwest Germany) awarded LEONHARD WEISS the Professional
Company certificate in accordance with § 19 I of
the Water Resources Law. This confirms that LEONHARD WEISS
has been inspected for the listed activities and has signed
a monitoring contract. |

1995 DIN EN ISO 9001
LEONHARD WEISS is certified in accordance with the requirements
of DIN EN ISO 9001. The subsidiary Steinsanierung und
Denkmalpflege Crailsheim GmbH & Co. KG also received
this confirmation. For our customers, this means further
assurance of our key goals: quality, care, economy and
on-time performance.  |

1997 DIN EN ISO 14001
LEONHARD WEISS is one of the first construction companies
to introduce and be certified for an environmental management
system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001. |

1997 Eisenbahnverkehrsunternehmen
(EVU) (Rail Traffic Company)
Since 1 January 1997, LEONHARD WEISS has had an
official operating permit as a rail traffic company (EVU).
As such, the company can transport goods by rail throughout
Germany on its own responsibility. In addition, the company
is authorised to conduct in-house acceptance inspections
on track construction machines by technical experts in
accordance with § 32 of the Railway Construction
and Operation Ordinance. |

1997 ÜGG Certificate
On 25 November 1997, the Ueberwachungsgemeinschaft
Gleisbau e. V. (Rail Construction Monitoring Association)
awarded LEONHARD WEISS the right to carry monitoring labels
in accordance with the stipulations of the Ueberwachungsgemeinschaft
Gleisbau e.V. LEONHARD WEISS demonstrated in an inspection
that it fulfils the requirements of the implementation
stipulations for personnel qualification, company-specific
quality management system and the specific requirements
of the stipulation sheets. This is reinspected repeatedly.

1998 Guetezeichen Kabelleitungstiefbau
(Underground Cable Line Construction Quality Label)
On 29 April 1998, the Guetegemeinschaft Leitungstiefbau
e.V. (Underground Cable Line Construction Quality Associaton)
awarded LEONHARD WEISS the quality label for underground
cable line construction. This label is recognised by RAL
Deutschland and trademark protected through registration
with the German Patent Office. |

1999 AUDI Quality Prize
Since 1988, AUDI AG has awarded the Audi Quality
Prize at an Audi suppliers' event. On 18 June 1999, LEONHARD
WEISS was the first construction company to be awarded
the quality prize for construction of building structures
"in recognition for outstanding quality performance
in 1998".

1999 DVGW-Fachunternehmen (Professional
Company)
In July 1999, LEONHARD WEISS received a certificate
as a DVGW Professional Company - pipeline construction
companies. The scope of certification: gas lines for all
pressures and nominal widths (steel, cast iron, polyethylene)
and water lines for all pressures and nominal widths (steel,
cast iron, polyethylene, plastic).

2002 Volkswagen Group Award
On 3 June 2002, the Volkswagen Group honoured the
best suppliers worldwide in 2001 with the Volkswagen Group
Award. LEONHARD WEISS is the only construction company
to receive this recognition of company performance. Evaluated
here were flexibility with new products and innovation
ability in view of cost optimisation and process improvements.
From 2000 to 2002, LEONHARD WEISS carried out new construction
of the press hall with technology centre, logistics hall
and scrap press building for Audi AG in Ingolstadt based
on a GMP contract (guaranteed maximum price).
