The course for your successful – professional and personal – integration into the company is already set during the first days and weeks after you begin your job. A systematic adjustment to the new job is valued very highly at LEONHARD WEISS. It is important to us, that you receive coaching and support not only on your first day but also continuously afterwards in becoming acquainted with your field of responsibility, the work procedures, your colleagues and the company culture. Your superior is responsible for this process and is supported by a so-called godfather.
In addition to our “godfather-system“ we have developed further instruments which will support your adjustment to your job in a perfect way. Among other things we use an individual adjustment plan. In case specific training measures in connection with your tasks or with the company already arise from this plan, you will be inscribed for the respective seminar or training at our LEONHARD WEISS Academy.
Last but not least all new employees receive all important general information for their start at LEONHARD WEISS by means of our “Introduction day for new employees“. This introduction day also makes it easy to already establish inter-divisional contacts inside the company and facilitate the exchange with each other.
In addition to the conversations concerning everyday business, there is at least one appraisal interview per year. This interview between superior and employee is the most important instrument of the management process. The common aim is to define and agree personal targets for the employee and to control the achievement of these targets. A clear definition of assignments is as important as the personal development of the employee, taking into account his or her strengths and weaknesses. The agreement concerning the performance-related pay of our employees also constitutes an important point of this interview.
The success of these appraisal interviews lies in the joint responsibility of superior and employee. Openness, honesty and mutual trust are the basis necessary to be able to talk about everything which is relevant for a good cooperation.
After the appraisal interview there will be appointments with human resources development, in order to discuss the planned personal developments / measures or even organisational changes and put them into practice.

For several years the news magazine FOCUS, together with the web portals XING and kununu, has carried out an evaluation of employers now. These surveys in combination with the evaluation of the results of the platform kununu lead to clear general and sector specific rankings.
LEONHARD WEISS also uses these various evaluation portals, derives many details about the own company by exactly analysing them and puts together a comprehensive opinion trend. The family-owned company even motivates our employees to give their honest evaluation of the family-owned company.
Satisfaction at the job - everybody knows it from his or her own experience - is good, not only for our emotional well-being. On 27th February 2014 the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Heilbronn-Franken awarded LEONHARD WEISS the title “Dualis awarded apprenticing company“ for the first time. Dualis aims at improving the quality of the apprenticeships in companies in the region Heilbronn-Franken. This is put into practice by self-assessment, consulting and certification. The catalogue of Dualis criteria is the basis of this evaluation and improvement.
