GREAT FLEXI LW
In the construction sector, the working times depend on the requirements of the construction sites. Thanks to the “Great Flexi LW“, LEONHARD WEISS offers employees the possibility of earning a steady monthly income. No overtime needs to be built up. LEONHARD WEISS applies the tried and tested model of hours paid in advance. In addition to that, the monthly hours of overtime are paid with a bonus according to the agreed contracts.

WORKING AWAY FROM HOME
Travel to the construction site or between company sites often takes a long time – a lot of time goes into travel time. Our modern vehicles make travelling as safe and agreeable as possible. In addition to that, there are longstanding regulations concerning the compensation of drivers and in special cases also of passengers. The compensation rates for travel from one construction site away from home to another, as well as the handling of people who travel alone have been adapted.
In order to better compensate "being on the road", LEONHARD WEISS has adapted two further components:
Additional meal allowance
According to the labour agreement, the lump sum for the additional meal allowance amounts to € 7.00 to € 9.00 per day (in case of an absence of over 8 h.).
LEONHARD WEISS considerably increases these rates.
Allowance per diem
Working away from home required flexibility and a high preparedness to travel.
LEONHARD WEISS compensates these factors with an allowance per diem for overnight stays (where possible in a single room):
13th MONTHLY SALARY / PROFIT SHARING
LEONHARD WEISS offers all employees a 13th monthly salary exceeding the amount prescribed by the labour agreement by far, as well as an attractive profit-sharing scheme.
Industrial workers / foremen / apprentices
The bargaining partners in the construction sector have agreed on a 13th monthly salary of 123 hours pay since the year 2022. LEONHARD WEISS already put this rise completely into practice in 2019. LEONHARD WEISS also offers all employees the possibility of receiving a 13th monthly salary in connection with the profit-sharing scheme.
Commercial / technical employees
For the 13th monthly salary, the standard entitlement according to the labour agreement amounts to 72 % of the gross monthly salary. Thanks to a company-intern contract regulation, employees receive 100 %, that means, a full gross monthly salary. For commercial and technical employees, LEONHARD WEISS has introduced a basic bonus in connection with the profit-sharing scheme. That means, that everyone participates in the company success.
RETIREMENT PROVISIONS / COMPANY PENSION PLAN
The payments by the public social security are less and less sufficient, in order to secure a livelihood during retirement. For employees in the construction sector a retirement plan according to the labour agreement has thus been defined.
Company pension plan
LEONHARD WEISS has been offering a company pension plan in addition to the social security pension plan for many years now. From 2024, LEONHARD WEISS increases its yearly contribution to € 500 per year for every employee. In addition to that, there is the possibility of contracting a retirement pension supplement with SOKA-BAU. Employees can build up their own retirement pension by transforming part of their salary into retirement provisions, and they receive a supplement amounting to € 30.68 per month by LEONHARD WEISS.

Work-life-balance
Life doesn’t only consist of work. An ideal balance between job, family and recreation time should be kept up.
LEONHARD WEISS offers various possibilities of combining these factors as well as possible.
Timekeeping for employees
Since 1st January 2024, there is the time keeping for employees. We create transparency to find out which capacity we have available for our tasks and thus receive more personal flexibility for our assignments. This results in a better work-life-balance.
Projectable working hours and free time compensation on the construction site
On the construction site, the beginning of work and the end of work can unfortunately not be decided freely. It is, however, our objective to create working time models for our industrial workers, enabling a projection of days off. Example: every 2nd Friday on construction sites away from home.
Holiday programme
School holidays usually represent large challenges for parents. Child-care must be ensured. Therefore, there is a summer holiday programme at the sites Bad Mergentheim, Göppingen, and Satteldorf.
Time account
For 2025, the implementation of a time account is planned. This gives employees the possibility of voluntarily saving up gross compensations for future opportunities (like for ex. sabbatical or transition to retirement).
Health promotion
No question: working on the construction site is physically very demanding. Spending long hours seated at on office desk can also have negative effects on our health. LEONHARD WEISS values the long-term well-being of its employees very highly and bundles numerous health promoting measures in the specially created field health management.
Fitness
Exerting oneself during spinning, relaxing during yoga or loosening up tense body parts during fasciae training – among the sports courses free of charge at the main company sites, you will find the suitable course for yourself. All employees can take part in our active time out on site or per livestream.
The cooperation with Hansefit allows all LEONHARD WEISS employees the use of over 2,000 fitness and sports facilities all over Germany. They are not forced to choose one gym but can use any facilities participating in the scheme.

All employees and their family members receive support 24 hours per day – free of charge and anonymously.

LEONHARD WEISS has chosen the year 2024 as the year of health. By means of numerous measures like for ex. podcasts, lectures or recipe recommendations for healthy nutrition, the awareness of employees for a vital way of life is actively promoted.
