In 2025 LEONHARD WEISS can look back at 125 years of company history. Established as a company exclusively active in track construction in Göppingen in Baden-Württemberg, the family-run company over the years developed into a provider of complex overall service in road and network construction, engineering and turnkey construction, as well as track infrastructure construction, far beyond Germany’s borders.

Marcus Herwarth
Since January 1, 2015 Marcus Herwarth heads rail infrastructure. He has also been Chairman of the Board of Management since September 1, 2021.

Christian Ott
Since October 1, 2019 Christian Ott heads the strategical division Corporate management and has been Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board since September 1, 2021.

Robert Kreß
Since April 1, 2018 Robert Kreß heads road building and network construction.

Ralf Schmidt
Since January 1, 2014 Ralf Schmidt heads the strategical division Technology.

Stefan Schmidt-Weiss
Since January 1, 2014 Stefan Schmidt-Weiss heads the strategical division Resources and Holdings.

Steffen Schönfeld
Since January 1, 2021 Steffen Schönfeld heads engineering and turnkey construction.

Alexander Weiss
Since January 1, 2014 Alexander Weiss heads the strategical division Human Resources and Communication.
