LEONHARD WEISS uses state-of-the-art equipment and large machines, in order to guarantee smooth construction site execution in projects of track infrastructure construction. We check and optimise our processes and structures continuously, not only to generate maximum efficiency in your projects, but also to enable the steady development of safety at work. Our high-performance machines are serviced regularly. For this task we rely on climate-friendly technologies and measures of CO₂ reduction.

Thanks to our training at our company-intern LW Academy we make sure that our employees develop into experts in their jobs and are always trained in the latest technologies.

Precise conversion technology: LEONHARD WEISS is an expert in track conversion by means of machines. Our rapid conversion trains work precisely and minimise train traffic interruptions. Thanks to continuous research and development, we adapt our technology to increasing requirements. With a capacity of up to 400 m/h and the ability to process different kinds of sleepers, our rapid conversion trains are extremely efficient.
State-of-the-art tamping technology: Our modern tamping machines and graders guarantee the correct geometric position of the tracks. The machines are serviced regularly and adapted to the latest innovations to ensure efficient, rapid, and climate-friendly construction.
Intelligent hoisting technology: Thanks to powerful track construction cranes and individual construction methods, we use state-of-the-art machine technology. Our thorough planning and work preparation ensures the execution of construction according to schedule – even in case of complex cases of hoisting.
Locomotives for maximum performance: As a recognised railway traffic company, LEONHARD WEISS offers shunting and transport services according to the highest safety standards. We operate locomotives of the construction series 203 and 214 for our own projects and for third parties and have an electro-diesel locomotive available, which enables climate-friendly construction.
Tipper for reliable transport: Our tipper MK 45 DH ensures the safe transport of bulk freight under switched-off catenaries. This innovation fulfils the increasing requirements of our customers in the field of supply and waste removal of construction sites.
Maximum reliability thanks to the road-rail excavator: Our road-rail excavators combine mobile excavating technology with know-how on the rails and are suitable for many different works in track construction. They even work under the most difficult route conditions with high output and efficiency and can be used on roads as well as rails, just as they are needed.
