Designed and developed by LEONHARD WEISS our Profilia rail profile sanding system closes the gap between machine and manual rail grinding for tracks and switches and has been certified by Deutsche Bahn AG. The “Profilia” enables the continuous and highest quality machining of switches and specifically addresses:

Profile-oriented machining of common crossings with rigid or swing nose points

Grinding and feather edging of closed and open switch blades

Machining of rail expansion devices

Machining of head check damage

Execution of grinding and deburring work and strap sanding

Grinding of WITEC switch blades

Treatment of grooved rails

In compliance with Ril 824.8310, we utilize all required measuring and testing devices to guarantee the quality of our work.

The Grinder, designed and developed by LEONHARD WEISS, is a computer-controlled 4-spindle track grinding equipment certified for use by the EBA (Federal Railway Authority) and the DB Netz AG which can be used on tracks along the entire DB rail network, industry lines and regional railway lines. Track widths can be adjusted from 750 mm to 1,520 mm. Integrated with special software, various grinding programs can be saved and accessed "just in time".
